Birth Companions' article in the BMJ with Women for Refugee Women
Birth Companions' Head of Policy and Communications, Kirsty Kitchen, and Women for Refugee Women's Policy and Research manager have today had an article published in the BMJ, exploring the implications of the so-called "Illegal Migration Bill" currently going through the House of Lords.
They write that there can be no doubt that the government's plans to remove the 72-hour limit on the detention of pregnant women will compromise the health, safety, and wellbeing of women and their babies.
