It endorses the standards of care set out in Birth Companions' Birth Charter, and notes that it is essential that the new MoJ/HMPPS policy framework on Pregnancy, Mother and Baby Units (MBUs) and Maternal Separation from Children under Two in Women's Prisons is embedded in to practice across all women’s prisons.
