The Case for Change is the Independent Review of Children's Social Care’s report on their early thinking about what needs to change in the children’s social care system.
The purpose of the document is to set out in a systematic way the supporting evidence that has been gathered since the beginning of the review. It is based on input from more than 700 people with lived experience of children’s social care, around 300 people working with children and families, 932 responses to the Review's Call for Advice and 207 submissions to their Call for Evidence.
The objective is to put forward a bold set of recommendations that will meaningfully improve life for children and families.
